A leader in plastic product protection, Caplugs is constantly searching for ways to better serve its customers with expanded product lines and a comprehensive product range. With the recent acquisition of Polykap in San Marino, Caplugs has again extended the European product range.
Based in San Marino, Polykap is one of the most well-known and respected names in plastics manufacturing in Europe, supplying more than 9,000 standard caps, plugs and other protective components for industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, automotive, hydraulic, beverage and consumer product applications.
The acquisition provides current Caplugs customers in Italy, Germany, France, Belgium and elsewhere in western Europe with streamlined access to Polykap’s full portfolio, as well as faster delivery and local service and support for orders from the Caplugs product line.
An extended product range for customers
“We are excited to expand our capabilities, product lines and in-country options for customers in Italy,” said Maarten Moyson, Commercial Director, EMEA for Caplugs. “This new partnership brings on board a great facility and a range of new capabilities and product lines for our customers in Italy and across Europe.”
“As the hub for Southern Europe, we are excited to offer more products and faster delivery options to all our customers,” said Davide Luppi, General Manager of Polykap. “Caplugs is a leader in product protection, and we look forward to offering our customers new protective solutions and expanded custom manufacturing capabilities”.
The current Polykap team will remain with Caplugs and customers can continue to work with their sales and service support contacts. In the coming months, the services will be fully integrated, with customers in Italy switching to local experts to help find the right protective products and tailor-made injection moulding solutions.
