And now, with the completion of the acquisition of Safeplast Oy, Caplugs has once again expanded its product range for customers in Europe.
Safeplast has a long-standing reputation as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality hose protection in Finland, with a range of colour options and product styles that can be tailored to meet customers’ specific needs. These product lines will be merged with the existing Pig’s Tail™ spiral wrap protection by Caplugs, giving current customers access to more variety and options, and Safeplast customers access to the Caplugs catalogue of more than 40,000 protective parts.
As part of the acquisition, Caplugs will become the owner of Safeplast’s current headquarters in Finland. This facility continues to produce hose protection lines and joins the company’s overall portfolio of European production sites, including the European headquarters in the Netherlands, and additional operations in Belgium and San Marino.
An addition to product range

This transition offers buyers a wider selection of standard products, a full range of special wrapping products, and a range of complementary products. This gives buyers access to a single source for all their hose protection needs.
Business teams are currently working on the integration process to streamline the transition for current customers in the coming weeks and months. The current Safeplast team will remain with Caplugs, meaning that Safeplast customers can continue to work with the same service and support contacts while becoming part of the overall team for Caplugs in Europe.
